Department- Production
Hours of Work- 07:30 to 16:30
Reports to- Production Manager
Main purpose of job
To lead a team on the Production floor and to work alongside them to ensure all tasks are completed to the correct standards
Key Performance Areas
* Lead by example and set the standards for the team as you work with them on a daily basis to optimise effective and efficient productivity
* Ensure that all production targets and deadlines are consistently met
Key Results/objectives
* To monitor and evaluate the work done by the team and report on performance
* To conduct performance reviews on own team members
* Hold daily briefings and Toolbox Talks to ensure that the team is using appropriate, correctly calibrated tools and equipment for tasks at hand
* Ensure BOPAS regulations are met and that the team has a sound understanding thereof
* Ensure that team members are following the correct work instructions and drawings and monitor this closely
* Ensure that daily timesheets are completed, checked and submitted to the Factory Manager each week
* Ensure that BOPAS regulations and requirements are understood by the team members
* Ensure that team members understand RAMS and CDM standards
* Ensure that Health & Safety standards are met
* checking that the work environment is safe
* that safety measures are implemented
* that team members are trained in H&S
* record any incidences and accidents and submit completed documents to the H&S Manager
* provide guidance and mentoring to team members
* Ensure that they have the requisite skills as set out in the Skills Matrix
* submit training needs to the HR Manager for inclusion in the Annual Training Plan
Experience
* At least five years’ work experience in a built/modular manufacturing environment
* Experience in a similar role
