Key Account Manager On Trade Retail (Midlands)

Our client a leading innovative spirit’s company is looking for an On trade Key Account Manager within The Midlands & M62 Corridor This role is home based in easy reach of The Midlands / Manchester / Leeds with extensive customer travel. Support the business strategy to grow our brand portfolio in the on-trade channel by driving distribution, visibility and activation programmes within the territory, bringing the brands to life in the channel.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a core number of agreed accounts within the territory to deliver the on trade brand building plan and activation program. Examples of activation, perfect serve, sampling, tailored competitions, menu presence and permanent unique brand visibility across key influencer outlets.

* Achieve core role KPI’s against Distribution, Visibility and Activation (DVA)

* Create and implement profitable commercial agreements with key customers securing DVA to deliver volume growth.

* Record relevant outlet information and share improvements as part of monthly reporting and tracking.

* Identify new brand/outlet opportunities that enable targeting of the right consumers through networking and influencing.

* Effectively plan and manage the working day to ensure coverage is achieved at key trading times of customers. This will involve evening work and a requirement to live on a territory’s core post code region.

* Build and maintain an Account Plan across the designated territory (The Midlands, Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester). With key retail Pub, Bar and restaurant companies

* Take ownership of the territory to become business expert or lead for any future brand projects.

* Support the development of the businesses prestige strategy across identified accounts and delivery of ranging and visibility solutions appropriate to an opinion leading / luxury account base.

Knowledge and Experience

* Educated to degree level or equivalent.

* Demonstrated commercial knowledge.

* Understanding and passion for the on-trade.

* Competent in using a computer.

* Ability to write reports and prepare spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentation.
