Our client is currently recruiting for a Deputy Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the operations meet and exceed regulatory requirements and industry standards. Reporting directly to the Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs and processes in accordance with applicable aviation regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance Management:
* Assist in interpreting, implementing, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, including UK Part CAMO and Part 145 and other relevant regulatory requirements.
* Monitor changes in regulations and communicate updates to the team, ensuring timely and appropriate adjustments to company procedure.
Process Development and Improvement:
* Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to develop and refine compliance processes, procedures, and documentation within the regulatory framework.
* Identify opportunities for process optimization and improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Auditing and Inspection:
* Conduct internal audits and inspections to verify compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
* Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date compliance records, including technical documentation, manuals, and reports.
* Ensure that all necessary documentation is readily accessible and organized for inspection purposes.
Training and Education:
* Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs for employees to raise awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements.
* Provide guidance and support to team members on compliance-related matters.
Non-Conformance Management:
* Monitor timely completion of non-conformance, and assist in trending of root causes.
* Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Risk Assessment and Management:
* Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to identify and assess compliance risks associated with all regulatory activities.
* Assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential compliance breaches.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
* Work closely with the Compliance Manager and cross-functional teams to foster a culture of compliance and integrity throughout the organization.
* Provide leadership and guidance to compliance team members, promoting professional development and a high standard of performance.
Qualifications:
* 5 day Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor course by recognised body is essential.
* Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
* Relevant training (e.g., Part 145/CAMO.) are highly desirable.
* Demonstrated experience in a compliance-related role within the aviation industry, preferably in Part 145 or Part CAMO.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
