Internal Sales Executive

Based in Birmingham our client specialise in the manufacture and supply of architectural ironmongery, security and automation systems and wash room equipment. Established in 1948, they have built its reputation on two key principles: high-quality products that are designed to last, supported by expert advice at all stages of a construction project.

As a key member of the team, you will be required to:

To understand the changing needs and requirements of customers and continue to build relationships with new and existing customers.

To serve as the link of communication between key customers and the Specification team.

Daily liaison with the Internal sales teams to help chase quotes to increase the conversion rates.

Obtain additional information on projects and complete research on likely project influencers (particularly major projects).

Process all sample requests and complete the subsequent return merchandise authorisation.

Dealing with enquiries

To resolve customer queries and complaints.

CRM analysis, highlighting projects which have not been chased.

Generating new sales from offering knowledge and guidance on projects helping to build our long-lasting contractor relationships.

Work closely with the Estimating team to ensure accurate and ‘Right First Time’ schedules for clients.

What you will need to succeed:

Excellent customer service skills and excellent telephone manner

Motivated, organized, able to multitask and to work to deadlines

Experience of managing accounts, building relationships to drive turnover in accounts

To be a team player that can help inspire colleagues to deliver excellent standards of service and results

Experience of coordinating projects from enquiry to delivery

Experience of the ironmongery trade would be advantageous or at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally from a technical sales background.
