We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in modular building to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, managing budgets, and ensuring financial control throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise in modular building will be crucial in analysing and interpreting project specifications, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing cost advice.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans for modular building projects.
– Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
– Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments to ensure project feasibility.
– Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive quotes.
– Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
– Prepare and submit progress reports, valuations, and final accounts.
– Provide expert advice on cost management, value engineering, and contract administration.
– Evaluate variations and negotiate favourable outcomes with clients and subcontractors.
– Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to modular construction and quantity surveying.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
– Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on modular building projects.
– Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control.
– Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for quantity surveying (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel).
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
– Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
– Ability to work well in a team and independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
– Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
