Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4:30pm Friday 8am – 1:30pm
Location: Office based Wakefield
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join a busy sales team. The company specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of dust and fume extraction systems.
The role will consist of preparing, creating and issuing quotes to clients together with the production of tender drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks packages.
The role:
¨ Creating and issuing out technical engineering tenders and quotations for OEM, Resale and end user clients
¨ Production of project drawings for the tenders using AutoCAD and SolidWorks and manage the design process to ensure the smooth running with design specifications and technical aspects
¨ Working closely with the sales team at enquiry stage to final acceptance
¨ Ensuring compliance with relevant Design Codes, Technical Standards, Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice
¨ Reviewing client / supplier documentation, monitoring progress and making technical changes
¨ Ensure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of design and/or construction
¨ Assist the Sales Engineers in the preparation of estimates, quotations and contract documents
¨ Input to tender, design and construction programmes including progress updates and reporting
About you:
¨ Experience in a similar role as a project engineer
¨ LEV /Air movement experience is highly advantageous but other specialist engineering industries will be considered
¨ Knowledge of applicable Design Codes, Technical Standards, Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice
¨ Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or similar)
¨ Ability to perform and check hand calculations
¨ Excellent time management, with the ability to plan and organise day to day workloads within a busy environment
¨ Good communication skills in both verbal and written in a technical capacity
¨ Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to all engineering trades, particularly Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering
