Full -Time

8 hour Shift rotation 6am- 2pm / 2pm – 10pm – Please consider this before applying.

40 Hours per week + Overtime when required.

1 Weekend worked within a month.

Pay:

£17.788 per hour to £35.579 per hour

Vacancy: Multi-skilled maintenance engineer Mechanical and Electrical Engineer

Location: Nottingham, NG13 9HY

My client seeking a Multiskilled Engineer to join our team. As an Engineer, you will be responsible maintaining various machines within the facility as well as the facility itself. This is a challenging hands-on opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic who is keen to work towards keeping the production lines running but also offer suggestions into improvements for the future.

This job role will require a keen to work attitude with a focus on maintaining the manufacturing equipment and site utilities to ensure continuous and safe operation.

The successful candidate will be working within an industrial factory and should able to work within an environment that contains resins and fibrous dust such as cottons, glass, hemp and other fibers.

The key goal will be to resolve any and all issues in a timely manner to reduce “downtime” and suggest improvements to avoid further disruption and improve and innovate.

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with all employees including shop floor operatives and staff – Maintain high performance, flexible “can do” attitude

* Engineering maintenance and servicing of site equipment. Including but not limited to air handling equipment, compressors, Multiple and various rotating drums, Large ovens, Fiber opening equipment, ventilation systems, motors, burners, hydraulic presses and cutting systems.

* Suggest and promote process improvements to better the running of machinery and processes

* Engineering maintenance for the building

* Supporting all on-going / New projects

* Work within a team and alone without instruction

* Commit to ensuring production lines are active through overtime if needed.

* Keep track of stock and spares to ensure parts are in place as and when needed.

* Undertake training for new skills and tasks in line with Personal Development Plans and as requested by Management

Requirements for the role:

* Previous experience in a fast-paced hands-on production environment preferred

* Welding and fabrication experience required

* Identify electrical faults. Read and work from circuit diagrams

* Experience with 3-phase electrical systems required

* Self-motivated

* Ability to effectively prioritize own workload

* Commitment to overtime if and when required to prioritize continuous running of the factory

* impeccable time management is essential

* Flexibility when weekend production requires maintenance cover on site

* 1 weekend to be worked per month

* Good understanding of Mechanical & Electrical engineering

* Knowledge of process automation equipment including PLC system such as Siemens is preferred, on the job training provided.

* Understanding of a manufacturing processes

* Proactive approach to fault finding, prevention and continuous improvement

* To participate in meetings/trials where engineering input is required
