Our client, a dynamic and innovative customs clearance and consultancy company, is seeking a detail-oriented, dedicated, and driven Customs Clearance Clerk to join their team in Dover. Key Responsibilities
Accurately complete customs clearance declarations for our clients to ensure all merchandise is properly processed and enters the country without delays.
Communicate effectively and proactively with clients regarding VAT and Duty requirements in accordance with legislation, ensuring all necessary information and documentation is provided.
Stay up to date with industry changes, including new regulations, policies, and procedures within our sector.
Build and maintain strong rapport and regular communication with other team members, clients, and relevant third parties.
Skills & Experience
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to confidently manage client relationships, liaise with authorities, and collaborate with team members.
Knowledge of customs clearance processes and UK Border Force regulations is desired, but not essential – we will provide thorough training to the successful candidate.
Ability to multitask efficiently and adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
High attention to detail, ensuring all paperwork and electronic records are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
